The Red Sox placed starting pitcher Clay Buchholz on the disabled list Sunday with what manager Bobby Valentine called a "gastrointestinal situation."
The team is still awaiting more particulars on the issue, but Valentine said the Sox are "hoping that we'll get him back at the end of the 15 days."
