Sandy pushes NFL trade deadline back

The NFL announced Monday that it has pushed this week's trade deadline back due to Hurricane Sandy.

The deadline for teams to complete trades for the season was initially set for Tuesday, but the league has extended the trading period until Thursday at 4 p.m. EST. This season marked the first season in which the deadline had been set for the Tuesday following Week 8, as teams previously had to complete trades by the Tuesday following Week 6.
